So, let us reflect what is truly of value in life, what gives meaning to our lives, and set our priorities on the basis of that. The purpose of our life needs to be positive. We weren’t born with the purpose of causing trouble, harming others. For our life to be of value, I think we must develop basic good human qualities—warmth, kindness, compassion. Then our life becomes meaningful and more peaceful—happier.”

― Dalai Lama XIV, The Art of Happiness

I think that I can be complex to someone that can't relate to the type of life I've lived. I've been through a lot, considering I moved to Montreal by myself at 19 years old, away from my culture and family, not knowing the language and struggling with being a woman that never had the opportunity to express herself the way I wanted to. Because in my culture, queer women close to their sexuality aren't taken seriously, not even in the artistic scene, or at least that was my experience. This really got me in a place where it was even harder for myself to understand my self expression. At the same time, this path has helped me to find my true self and my identity as an artist. I think that people who can understand struggle and sacrifices can say artists aren't that complex because art is the reflexion of our hearts, experiences and memories. Someone that understands darks paths, the beauty in it and the motivation that comes from it, can totally understand artists and their "complexion" which ends up being pure light from the heart and soul.  - VERONICA

The color blue is so powerful to me. It makes me happy, it makes me sad, it connects to all my deep emotions. When I think about blue, it reminds me the sky and the space and of course the ocean, water. It’s so strong and powerful to associate this color with the two prettiest thing on Earth. When I see blue lights, my brain becomes amazed. I get crazy just to think about how to describe the color blue to someone who won’t never see it. I feel like this color is cold and fragile, but it also warms my heart with its tenderness. The color blue taste like ice cream, it taste like whipped cream, it is soft like milk and baby skin. The color blue is smooth and creamy, it’s also fresh. Blue smells fruity and it taste like vanilla. It pushes us to continue what we’re doing. The color blue is essential to our lives because it brings happiness, it makes you think about the things you like, it pushes your reflexions and it helps you focus on yourself. This color is way more important that what you think. It’s an unconscious process, but your body always connects with the sky and the ocean and that’s where you look when you need answers. That’s where you look when you’re sad or lost and also when ou feel good and accomplished. The blue will always surround us and help us. Personally, the blue is often the answer for me, it helps me grow and it motivates me when i’m down. Blue as so many different tones, it makes me feel young and it makes me feel classy. I could go on and on about how the color blue makes me feel, but now I will let you think about it.

How would you describe the color blue to someone who can’t see ?
